The Carnival’s Sail & Sign card (cashless onboard credit account) doubles as stateroom key. The S&S credit program allows charges on purchases and tips/gratuities directly to a personal account throughout the Carnival cruise. The card has a designated owner and must be utilized for all money transactions on the ship as cash is accepted as a form of payment only at the casino. These cards are provided to all passengers (incl minors) immediately upon boarding the ship. Balance updates are provided at Guest Services desk (at any time).

Another way to gauge the cost of a cruise is to consider how much you'll spend on board. Even though a lot is included in the base cruise fare, you may still spend money on things like spa treatments, specialty dining, drinks, and excursions. In addition, guests can also have to pay for things like gratuities and tips. Mainstream cruise lines cater to a variety of guests, hoping to provide something for everyone. Extra services for suite passengers are priority embarkation and disembarkation.
In the U.S., the ship carries a broad cross section of (mostly) Middle America, with a large contingent of Canadians, as well as people from Britain and Australia. While cruising in Australia, the ship carries a similar profile of Australian passengers (as well as a fair contingent of New Zealanders) in the 35-and-older age group. As the ship is based in Australia over the summer, including the six-week Christmas and January school holidays, there are plenty of families. Cruisers who want to avoid kids should travel between October and mid-December and from February to April (but not Easter). Carnival Legend passengers are all hungry for adventure while cruising around the world, but over a dozen amazing cruise dining options are there to satisfy any culinary craving.
View Carnival's cruise ship staterooms, including suites, balconies, oceanviews and interior staterooms. Plus, Cloud 9 Balconies bring health and wellness to your room. The main passenger services desks are located in the Atrium on Deck 2, including the guest services and shore excursions desks. You'll also find an ATM on Deck 2, located just outside the casino, as well as a SAS (sail and sign) kiosk for checking your account balance.
Carnival Legend staterooms review, floor plans, photos
In 2014, in the Bahamas, refurbishments included adding several different venues and spaces that are now Carnival classics, including RedFrog Pub, Bonsai Sushi, Playlist Productions, Cherry on Top and WaterWorks. The 2018 refurbishments in Portland were particularly extensive, adding a lot of the dining options that you’ll see today, such as BlueIguana Cantina and Guy’s Burger Joint. Take advantage of Carnival's onboard activities, including WaterWorks water slides, pools, sports courts, ropes course, mini-golf, video arcade, sports bars, casino, duty-free shopping, bars and lounges, art gallery and more. Aft-View Extended Balcony staterooms feature a larger balcony for more lounge-around room, more kick-back space… not to even mention some of the best stern-side views you'll find anywhere. Get ready to relax as you gaze upon the ship's gentle wake from your spacious balcony. All passenger cabin and suite mini-bars are stocked with premium liquors ($6-9,25), beer ($6,25), energy drinks ($5), soft soda/beverages ($2), bottled water ($3,75).

Some are included in the cost of the cruise, while others have an additional charge. To see if you would save money with a drink package, try our Drink Package Calculator. Of interest to families are the 53 sets (106 staterooms in total) of interconnecting cabins; 25 sets were added in the renovation. Adjacent to the workout area is a mirrored aerobics room, used for a series of exercise classes including low- and high-impact aerobics, yoga, spinning, and stretching and relaxation sessions. Some of these classes have an additional fee per person, so check prior to sign-up. Further toward the back of the ship on Deck 3 is Pixel Gallery, where you'll find all the photos of you taken by the ship's photographers throughout the cruise.

While Carnival Legend may not be quite the ship it once was, as it’s on the older side and hasn’t received a major overhaul in a while, you can still see why the ship garnered the name it did when it was floated out in 2001. Pretty much just like your favorite neighborhood sports bar, except this bar travels at 18 knots. The elegant seven-deck-high Atrium provides easy access to the ship's many public rooms and facilities. Take a swim or just relax poolside at the Carnival Legend Camelot Lido Pool -- Whatever floats your boat..
Until 1 a.m.; late-night munchies and games are on offer, with an extra fee of $8 per hour, per child. There's lots to do to keep busy during the day on Carnival Legend, from multiple trivia sessions to dance classes, bingo (for an extra fee), art seminars and auctions and various retail events when the ship is at sea. Other activities might include beanbag or ring toss competitions, dodge ball tournaments and free-throw challenges. The collection of productions includes Epic Rock, featuring songs from the glam bands of the 1970s and 1980s like Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith, as well as big arena rock performers like Bon Jovi.
Spirit-class ships also offer an impressive 80 percent ratio of outside cabins, as well as lots of nice little touches like museum-quality artwork and "designer" martinis. In 2016, Carnival Cruise Lines rolled out fleetwide for-fee (chargeable) room service menu, which items can be ordered 24/7. The new menu still has free of charge items – hot and cold sandwiches, salads, desserts, beverages, Continental Breakfast selections. At extra cost (ranging between USD 1,50 and 6) are items that include shrimp, also sushi, pizza, quesadillas, cheesesteaks, chicken wings/tenders, fries. Bar drinks orders through room service are at regular bar menu prices (no extra fee added). The Carnival cruise ship Legend has a total of 17 wheelchair-accessible cabins (for disabled passengers) and no Spa cabins (with exclusive access to Spa Carnival facilities).
